When you leave something behind, it's inevitable to have this longing to return. And so, you look out for familiar things in your new situation, just to have a fibre to connect the new with the past.

Imagination Plays in Dream
Yesterday on the way home, the car in front had a portion of a human arm sticking up from the sillhouette of the back seat. At first I thought it was a passenger holding up his hand to text on a phone or whatever. But the hand did not seem to move and looked pretty rigid and finally I saw that there was nothing in the grasp of the hand! That was when I started imagining there was probably a dead body in his rear seats - with rigor mortis, hence the uplifted arm! But let me be clear here that I do not have any proof of what I saw was what I thought it was - it could've very well been a mannequin's arm sticking up.
Anyway, the point of my post is that when I retired to sleep that night, I had a queer dream. We (a bunch of people whom I knew in the dream but none I could identify from among my real-life acquaintances) were at a private party in an old colonial building, wearing clothes from the 1920s. There was the usual pairing off and flirting of some of the guests. And at one point we had to buy some meat.
So, poof, suddenly I found myself in a butcher's shop (not like the Dettol-cleaned supermarket ones). There were packages of sausage and Chinese sausage on the wall racks and chillers with partially frozen packaged meats. I was in there with another girl, who was doing all the talking. She wanted to get some chicken thighs. I was just looking around when I started noticing certain peculiar looking meat cuts on display. And as I was passing one of the chillers, I saw this huge vacuum-packed thing - about 6 feet long - lying on the floor. At first I wasn't able to tell what dead animal it was but suddenly I realised it was a dead man inside the vacuum package. Nearby the plastic-wrapped body, there were human body parts partially butchered to be packaged and sold!
I remember trying to make excuses to my friend (the other girl) so that we could leave the shop immediately but she insisted on staying and getting what she needed. So I told her I'd wait for her outside and walked off trying to look as cool as if nothing had happened (but inside I was freaking out!).
I can't remember much of the rest of the dream after that. Talk about weird morbid dreams!?!

Weird Dream - 4th March 2010
Another weird dream.
As usual, there are foggy memories of the dream that I can't seem to summon up now. However, the parts where I can remember began with me sitting in an MPV with an unrecognisable youth and an elder man (whom I know). Something made me feel uneasy although the two of them were trying to chat with me so that I'd feel at ease. I think I asked the man to stop the car but he was trying to calm me down so I opened the door and jumped out while the car was still in motion (but it wasn't moving too fast though).
Since it was night, I had to walk in the dark at some housing area. I walked for perhaps 5-7 minutes and my feet were feeling fatigued (I think I was wearing heels), when I reached some brightly-lit houses with a party going on. There were bunches of young people who were drunk and very touchy-feely, so I skirted past them and somehow ended up in a resort-like place.
There I met a school friend and she was leading me up a stairwell (to a spa, I think... which is totally weird because I'm not a spa person) when I turned around and saw some suspicious character following us. So I confronted him and he was denying that he was following us but his body language was in a 'fight or flight' stance. By that time, my friend was already up the stairs and didn't know what was happening downstairs.
That was when my cell phone alarm rang. And I woke up. So there isn't any ending to that story.
I went back to sleep after switching off the alarm and immediately started dreaming again. This time I was walking towards a parked car in a parking lot lit with a football field light. It was still night. And my form 6 friend was beside me. I was feeling dejected because someone (I think it was the elder man from before) had cursed/put a spell on me to turn into a colourful fish. I remember someone pointing out a fish wall plaque to me, indicating what type of fish I'd be.
With this knowledge stirring in my mind and a satirical tone, I joked with my friend, saying "If I turn into a fish, please put me into water ok?" and gave a cynical laugh. My friend laughed along with me, with a worried sad look in her eyes.
We were still walking toward the car when I saw my dear coursemate in a distance. I waved to her and she reciprocated. We met midway and hugged, both feeling a bit sad but happy that we had bumped into each other.
Then I woke up because I was going to be late to work. So there isn't any conclusion to the story (again). And that was all I dreamed of.

Good Sleep, Weird Dreams
I've been unconsciously having good sleeping habits for the past week or so (this due to my unsuccessful attempts at studying for Corporate Secretaryship and Corporate Governance) and the funny thing is that I've been having weird dreams almost every night! I can't recall half of the dreams, but one was about taking home an iPhone to try it out and in the end I gave it back because I didn't want to subscribe to the Maxis package. When I woke up, I was wondering whether it was a dream or reality, and when I realised it was all part of my lala-land, I was like "WTH???"
Another dream was about driving somewhere near Amcorp and I was turning at the traffic light when I heard something bump into me behind, but I carried on driving and in some magical way, I could see my car from the outside and that I had ran over a motorcyclist. I was horrified but then I started trying to rationalise the situation (while still in the dream) - how could I run over someone when the motorcyclist had knocked me from behind and I was moving forward? Well, that's when I woke up. And felt quite disoriented for quite some time.
The third dream that I partially remember was about me buying a Sony Ericsson cellphone. It was supposedly the latest model from the Walkman series but it looked quite similar to my current cellphone - strange! However, the stranger part was that the phone could be unfolded twice into something that was almost half an A4 paper size. I can't remember what that function was, but the cellphone could run on AA and AAA batteries too! At that point I started to feel that the cellphone was kind of outdated. However, I ended up bringing the phone back to the shop for a refund after discovering it lacked a feature - I think it didn't have a camera (or something). Anyway, the giveaway that it was all a dream was when I started thinking to myself - how could I buy a cellphone without researching on it first? And then I woke up.
There was another dream that involved a number of my friends (but I really can't remember who). Although I don't remember what the dream was about and the other details, but I know that those friends were from different cliques I've had and did not know each other. So how come they were so at home with each other?
Weird! I don't know what to make of all these 'dreams'. Is it even possible to interpret them? Well, to me, it all just seem like a bowl of crap. Hahaha... anyway, they're amusing as to how much emotion they stirred up and that I actually remember how I felt at that moment.
